Silent Auctions May Be Disappearing This Year…

At this time we have not had anyone step forward to coordinate or help with our Winter Concert Silent Auctions.  Is this something that you would like to work on?  Our Winter Orchestra Concert will be held on Thursday, December 17, and our Winter Band Concert will be held on Monday, December 21.

Please contact any of our Boosters for more information on how you can help with this fundraiser, that supports our entire instrumental music program.

Silent Auctions – We need your help!  
Coordinator(s) Needed! 
At this time, we do not have a coordinator(s) for our Winter Concert Silent Auctions!  We cannot move forward with this fundraiser without a coordinator(s) for this event.  Silent auctions take place at our Winter Orchestra Concert on Thursday, December 17, and at our Winter Band Concert on Monday, December 21.  

Student Baskets? 
Even if students are willing (they love doing baskets!) to prepare silent auction baskets as they have in the past, we still need a coordinator!   Could this be the perfect position for you?  

What does the Silent Auction Coordinator do?
The Silent Auction Coordinator. along with the help of volunteers sends out letters to local businesses (i.e., MN Twins, hotels, restaurants, retail stores) asking for donations to KIMB to auction off at our winter concerts. Silent auction request letters are also sent home with students to solicit donations from employers, businesses, and to friends or family that may be interested in donating.  The coordinator, along with the help of many volunteers, wraps baskets, prepares bidding sheets, and sends out thank you letters to all donors.  

We have plenty of information about “how” to do the Silent Auctions on file. The following Silent Auction materials are already prepared but just need updating:  information letter, parent donation forms, business donation letter.     If you are interested in coordinating or volunteering to help with our Winter Silent Auctions, we need to know now!  To ensure a successful silent auction, planning early is key. Please let us know if you are interested in working on this great fundraising event that benefits our entire instrumental music program.

StarTribune Important Info!

Hi Everyone,

Thank you all for your support as we have made the switch in our collating process.

We are off in November-though we may be called upon to work on Thanksgiving Eve along with the choir. I will work out the details  and let you know how many people will be needed. The collating begins at 4pm that day, and takes about 2-2.5 hours.

December is the next month that will be our responsibility. I will send out my request for helpers around Nov. 15th.

The good news is that we have already been paid for 10/3. They pay bi-weekly, so funds will be available quickly!  If you have any questions-just shoot me an email, or call me on my cell!

Booster Meeting Tuesday, October 27

Kennedy Band & Orchestra Parents,

 

You are invited to attend a General Booster Meeting, Tuesday, October 27, at 7:00pm in the Band Room.

 

Agenda items will include:  Bergin Fruit Sale, Herberger’s Community Day Event, and Barnes & Noble Bookfair fundraisers, Chicago trip, upcoming Marching Band concert, the direction of our music program, silent auction, and open volunteer positions.

 

Come to the meeting and find out more about your child’s music program. You can make a difference!
